Dr. Linnaea Ostroff on eLife!December 13, 2019
Using translating ribosome affinity purification (TRAP) with RNASeq to identify mRNAs in cortical axons regulated during associative memory, Dr. Ostroff demonstrates that translation in the adult forebrain dendrites is regulated by learning, and axons in the adult rat amygdala contain translation machinery. This opens the pathway to investigating the mechanisms by which translation is regulated in complex cells such as neurons.Read more
